Sept 15

Dad is still recuperating at home, we took him to the pulmonary doctor last week and got him switched to a company that has a smaller mobile oxygen concentrator. Much more manageable than hauling a huge tank around! We were quite a sight getting Dad in his lite wheelchair and that giant tank out of the car and into the doctors office.

Monday September 13, Dad went back to the hospital for an out patient procedure to address the grapefruit sized cyst in his colon. They put a drain in and sent us home with instructions to follow up with the

ordering physician to get it removed. That appointment is next Monday. Mom has been a trooper helping Dad drain and record how much fluid has been removed. She has to flush the exterior port daily so it doesn’t get blocked. When I called to check on them tonight, Mom said Dad starts off the day doing pretty good but by early evening he is worn down, no appetite and miserable. So the yo-yo goes…..please continue to pray that Dad can get his body healed. We are planning a makeup birthday celebration this Sunday with the family that can come, looking forward to happier times.
